Although the actual story behind the Aviator sunglasses is very different. In the year 1936, the company “Rayban” was commissioned by the US military to make sunglasses for
pilots employed in the Air Force. The dark teardrop shaped glasses protect the eye completely and do not let any light come in. Aviator glasses have known to make a style statement for itself what with its classy looks. These glasses have now come to be popular not only among the US military but also several others.
Hollywood has been an effective medium in bringing several fashion accessories to the general public and the sunglasses is one such item made popular by Hollywood. The film “Top Gun” and several others on the same lines were instrumental in making the Aviator Sunglasses very popular. Carrie Anne Moss of “The Matrix” cannot be thought of without his black aviators. Several other actors and films also made the Aviator Sunglasses extremely popular for instance Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in Mr and Mrs Smith.

The polarized sunglasses have the property which blocks out horizontal light waves and thus, only vertical lightwaves are allowed to pass.
Reflective sunglasses or mirrored sunglasses are one with a special reflective coating that gives it the cool look. Although these sunglasses are very delicate and are prone to scratches, they look great absolutely cool.
