Security measures are always important in any store especially the ones selling sunglasses given that such items are convincingly small, prone to breakage and scratches, and most importantly easy to steal and hide. Of course we don’t want the last scenario to happen inside our shops as those incidents usually scare away customers or lessen their confidence in our ability to oversee damage and disorder, which ultimately the least we want to for our business.

For those obvious reasons, that’s why we see almost all sunglass shops have their displays being locked. Some customers find it a pain because they can’t have easy access to sunglasses they want to try out, but little do they know that it’s also to protect the trust they give why owners do that and not just for profit or anything.

Imagine if we’re customers shopping in a shop and it happens that some commotion is going on inside, it’s likely that the attention of the in charge person is on the goal of resolving the conflict and not on delivering customer care. Having security measures in the first place would have saved owners and customers effort, time and even some temper.

Another benefit for owners having to lock their sunglass displays is increasing the likelihood of sales personnel-customer interaction. In this way, staffs could provide customers of their knowledge of the sunglasses they sell, thus motivating customers for a quality buy, or they could also give suggestions and lay out promotions effectively. This possible constant interaction can actually train shop employees or give insight toward good customer service.
